Nurse Practitioner
Debra Freund, DNP, PPCNP-BC, CPNP-AC is a pediatric nurse practitioner with more than 30 years of experience caring for children and adolescents. She is passionate about supporting families through every stage of a child’s growth and believes it truly takes a village to raise a child. Debra is honored to be part of each family’s journey and is dedicated to providing compassionate, relationship-based care.
Debra began her healthcare career in rural Wisconsin, working in community hospitals including the neonatal ICU. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marian College, followed by a Master’s degree in Nursing (Maternal/Child Health) from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She later completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Rush University.
Throughout her career, Debra has provided pediatric primary care in rural, urban, and suburban settings. She also brings experience in pediatric specialty areas including urology, ear, nose and throat (ENT), lactation support, feeding and growth concerns, bleeding disorders, and diabetes care.
Debra enjoys building long-term relationships with her patients and helping children thrive from infancy through adolescence.
Outside of work, Debra enjoys spending time outdoors, fat tire biking year-round, and taking in beautiful sunrises and sunsets. She also loves relaxing with a good mystery novel.
