Affordable care through the sliding discount program
We offer a sliding fee discount based on your income and household size. Patients using the sliding fee scale are asked to pay a nominal fee at check-in, with any additional charges collected at check-out.
GET PAYMENT ASSISTANCE WITH OUR SLIDING DISCOUNT PROGRAM
Kaniksu Community Health strives to ensure every patient receives quality care regardless of ability to pay. All of our clinics offer a sliding fee scale to help you pay for the services you receive. The program is available to individuals and families with annual incomes at or below 200% of the current Federal Poverty Guidelines, even if you have insurance.
Discounts are offered depending on household income and size. A “family” is one or more persons living in one dwelling place who are related by blood, marriage, or law. Adults and minor children are considered a family.
No aspect of the program, including elgibility determiniation or collection of payment, will create a barrier to care. The program is made available to reduce barries to care for patients that are uninsured or underinsured. The sliding fee scale is developed and reviewed annually based on the federal poverty level, community need and changes in the healthcare system.
WHAT SERVICES QUALIFY FOR THE SLIDING FEE SCALE?
Patients who qualify are eligible for discounts for the following service areas:
- Family medicine
- Pediatrics
- Dental
- Behavioral health
- Pharmacy
- Same day clinic
HOW OFTEN DO I HAVE TO REAPPLY FOR THE PROGRAM?
All KCH patients are asked to attest to their income levels and family size on an annual basis. If changes occur during the year, patients are asked to notify KCH and we will assist you with updating your paperwork.
SLIDING DISCOUNT PROGRAM INCOME LEVELS
The sliding discount program income levels chart is used to determine the discount a patient is eligible to receive on their total charges for services. The scale can change from year to year, and the scale shown here should be used as a reference. Sliding scale fee level will be determined on application submission.
